Our Cannabis Accounting Process
We believe that great accounting is more than just entering numbers. It requires research, analysis, and close collaboration with you to reflect your organization’s visions, strengths, messages, and priorities. To ensure that our service aligns with your expectations, we have developed a four step process to guide us every step of the way.
PHASE: 1 DISCOVERY
Before any actual accounting work begins, we conduct background research. We will meet with you, usually over the phone, to understand your goals, needs, and expectations. We will also review work that has been done previously.
PHASE: 2 IMPLEMENTATION
Upon completion of the discovery phase, we will then move your file to implementation. We will complete all historical bookkeeping work using Xero, to bring you into compliance with local and federal reporting requirements.
PHASE: 3 REVIEW
After your accounting work has been brought up to date. we will provide access to your file on Xero and will provide you a basic Xero training. This training will include an overview of the Xero platform and how to navigate its many useful features. We will also review the work that has been completed, so that you have a firm understanding of your company’s financial position. We will discuss any opportunities or risks that we have revealed during the course of our work.
PHASE: 4 ONGOING SUPPORT
We provide ongoing bookkeeping, payroll, and virtual CFO support to our awesome small to medium business clients. We will communicate with you once per week, at minimum, so you always have a clear financial picture. This communication will happen via email – but if you ever need to chat- please call us. We never charge extra to chat and encourage you to touch base often.
